Tips On Safety From A Local Police Officer

On Wednesday August 19th, we had a special visitor in our classroom.  A police officer came in and talked with our first graders about safety in our homes, neighborhoods, and schools.  After the discussion, the students were allowed to try on some of the "special gear" police officers need in order to keep themselves and others safe.  Here are just a few of the pictures we took during his visit.  Safety is part of the first grade core curriculum.

Our Classroom...

I have been working hard to get our classroom ready for August 13th! I have moved all of my boxes of school materials over from Coral Cliffs Elementary. I have painted our walls and have even unpacked almost all of my boxes! We are getting our carpet cleaned, then I will be able to move the furniture around to make our room look even better! I will be working in our classroom a lot this summer. If you would like to come meet me, just give the school (674-6495) or me (773-2887) a call to see if I am there and you can come on over to say "Hi!"

Look who is in our class!

I am so excited! I received an email from Katie and she will be in our class this year. She sounds like she will be a great student and a good friend to everyone in our class. I can't wait to meet her in person!

School will start before you know it and we will get to meet everyone in our new "1st grade family!"

Bloomington Hills Elementary 2009-2010

I am SO excited to be moving over to Bloomington Hills Elementary!  I can not wait to get to know all of the teachers, staff, parents, and especially the students.  I have heard Bloomington Hills is a great school...I can't wait to see for myself!  :o)
